Capture their special moment before the first bite! Take your photos while the cake and decorations are still in place, then get ready to serve.
Decorations 🎉
Remove all decorations that are not edible before serving, including:
• Party hats
• Bows
• Firework toppers
• Photo Picks
• Wooden picks
The edible age topper and mini birthday cake can be eaten. Remove the wooden pick from the age topper before serving.
A Little Crunchi Surprise 🥕🥩
These cakes contain edible supports to help hold their sculpted designs in place:
• Pawty Cakes with a Mini Me Pompi Face
• Pawty Cakes with a Full Body Mini Me Pompi
• Pupcakes
Dehydrated carrot sticks support the designs in Peanut Butter Carrot Cake, while dehydrated beef sticks support them in Gentle Tummy MooMoo Cake. A little extra crunch tucked inside their celebration!
Remove these supports before cutting the cake, then offer them separately as crunchy treats.
First Bite 🐾
Bring Out the Aroma
Your Soft Bakes are kept chilled or frozen for freshness, but their aroma can be a little less noticeable when they're cold. Gently warming a serving can bring out the cake’s aroma for your Pompi. Warming is optional; the cake can also be served chilled.
After taking photos, removing decorations that are not edible and taking out any internal supports:
Portion: Cut or break the cake into small pieces your Pompi can comfortably eat. Set aside the serving portion and refrigerate or freeze the rest promptly.
Warm (Optional): Place the serving portion on a plate suitable for microwave use. Warm in 5 to 10 second intervals, gently mixing and checking the temperature throughout to avoid hot spots. It should be slightly warm, never hot.
Serve: Offer a few small bites by hand or place them in your Pompi’s food bowl to introduce their celebration treat.
Small pieces let your Pompi enjoy cake and Barkery Signature Cream together in every bite.
If your order includes a mini birthday cake, you can offer it first as a little birthday appetizer!
Storage ❄️
Refrigerate your cake or freeze individual portions to enjoy later.
Refrigerate: Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 2 days after pickup.
Freeze: Divide into individual portions and freeze for up to 2 months.
Thaw: Thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Serve chilled or gently warm a portion using the instructions above.
Do not refreeze once thawed.
Always provide fresh drinking water alongside treats.
